It's no fun though, if you don't have a decent sound card in your computer. I use the Sound Blaster "LIVE" card on a concert hall setting for my karaoke stuff. It's an excellent card, and almost everything you can find on the 'Net sounds good on the card. It's what I would recommend, but if you have an AWE32 or AWE64 they will work fine, too.
The software I use to play Karaoke is simple enough. Its WinKaraoke, and you can get it at the WinKaraoke Home Page. You can also get the WinCreator program that lets you take any ordinary MIDI file and add lyrics to it and turn it into karaoke.
Anyway, here are a few songs that you might enjoy to start out. These are all re-worked for the Sound Blaster card and work fine with WinKaraoke. Just click on them, save them to your hard drive and play them with any karaoke player. But try WinKaraoke first.
